The Tucher Keller
For quite
some time now it has belonged to one of Erlangen's sport
clubs, the FSV Bruck. In the Seventies it used to be the
one and only meeting point of Erlangen's youth
("Let's meet at the Türmla!").
The brewery of the Baron von Tucher
from Nürnberg has been engaged in business in Erlangen
ever since. Thus in 1918/19 it took over the contingent
of the former Ott brewery that had had its enterprise
since 1706 between Martin-Luther-Platz and Altstädter
Kirchplatz (right across from the church).
