The Hartmann's Keller
From the area point of
view it is the smallest of all cellars but this is for
traditional reasons. It was named after the Hartmann
brewery which had its buildings from 1872 to 1882 in
Theaterstraße 8 where it was responsible solely for the
supply of the restaurant zum Mondschein (today Theater
Café). It used to be the habitual haunt of the
former 6. Königlich Bayerisches Jägerbatallion Erlangen
(6th Royal Bavarian Hunting Battalion Erlangen).
The Hartmann's Keller offers
original Bergkirchweih beer from the Kitzmann
brewery Erlangen and a nice view over the various rides
and attractions nearby.
